Questions

Frequently Asked

Switching from flat sheet to tube cutting takes approximately 10–15 minutes — attach the rotary chuck assembly to the machine end, load tube support rollers, switch the CNC to CypTube mode, and feed the first tube. No tools required for the chuck attachment.

Not simultaneously — the machine operates in one mode at a time. However, you can cut all the sheet parts for a job, switch to tube mode, cut all the tube parts, and have everything ready for fit-up and weld in a single session.

For most fabrication work, yes. The VTM-ST handles round tube to 180 mm, all common structural profiles, and tube lengths to 6 m. Shops running exclusively high-volume tube with diameters above 180 mm or lengths above 6 m should consider the dedicated VTM-T or VTM-MT tube laser instead.

On carbon steel: 20 mm (0.75"). On stainless steel: 12 mm (0.5"). On aluminum: 10 mm (0.4"). For heavier plate work above these thicknesses, the higher-power standalone flatbed (12–20 kW) is the right tool.

Yes — the VTM-ST FE variant includes the dual-pallet exchange table on the flat sheet side. The tube chuck attaches to the same machine regardless of table type.
